HUDDLN Privacy Policy

Introduction

HUDDLN, LLC (the "Company") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. Use of the words “HUDDLN,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to the Company.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use the HUDDLN mobile application (the “App”). By clicking “Agree & Continue” before submitting your account information when creating an account, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the data collection practices outlined in it. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of this App after we revise this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the App for notifications of changes made to this Privacy Policy. 

 

This policy describes: 

  • the types of information we may collect or that you may provide when you download or use the HUDDLN mobile application (the "App"); and

  • our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

 

This policy applies only to information we collect in this App and in email, text, and other electronic communications sent through this App.

This policy does not apply to information that:

  • We collect offline or on any other Company apps or websites, including websites you may access through this App. 

  • You provide to or is collected by any third party. Third parties may have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before providing information to them.

 

Personal Information We Collect

As used herein, “Personal Information” means information that identifies or is reasonably capable of identifying an individual, directly or indirectly, and information that is being associated with an identified or reasonably identifiable individual.

Personal Information We Collect Directly From You

  • When you download, or use this App, we may ask you to provide Personal Information and information that is about you but, individually, does not identify you, such as your blockchain wallet address, your username, the content you post through our App or other information.

 

This information includes: 

  • information that you provide when you register to use the App, subscribe to our services, post material, enter a context/promotion sponsored by us, or report a problem to us; 

  • records and copies of your correspondence (including your email address and phone number);

  • your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes; and

  • your search queries on the App.

 

You may also provide information for publication or display through the App (collectively, "User Contributions"). Your User Contributions are transmitted to others at your own risk. The Company cannot control and will not be liable for the actions of third parties with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. 

Automatic Information Collection and Tracking  

When you download, access, and use the App, we may use technology to automatically collect:

  • Usage Details. When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the App, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the App. 

  • Device Information. We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, mobile network information, and the device's telephone number.

  • Stored Information and Files. We may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts, and address book information.

 

If you do not want us to collect the information described in this Privacy Policy, do not download the App or, if you have already downloaded the App, delete it from your device.

 

How We Use Your Information

 

We use your Personal Information and other information collected by or provide to us so that we may:

  • Provide You With Our Services. Provide you with the App and its contents, and any other information, products or services that you request from us.

  • Respond to Your Requests. We use your personal information to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.

  • Provide You With Notices. We may use your personal information to provide you with notices about your account, our fees, updated to our application, this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Use, and our other policies and other notices related to our services.

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements. We process your Personal Information as required by applicable laws and regulations

  • Verify your identity for log in authentication. We use Blockchain wallet addresses so we can associate a username with each address and authenticate each user’s account upon logging in to the App. Additionally, we may use your name and age to verify your identity.

  • Detect and prevent fraud. We may process your Personal Information to detect and prevent fraud on your account. 

 

The usage information we collect helps us to improve our App and to deliver a better and more personalized experience by enabling us to:

  • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.

  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our App according to your individual interests.

  • Speed up your searches.

  • Recognize you when you use the App.

 

Disclosure of Your Information

 

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual or device, without restriction. We will not share your personal information with third parties, except as described below:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.

  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of HUDDLN's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by HUDDLN about our App users is among the assets transferred.

  • To third parties to market their products or services to you if you have consented to/not opted out of these disclosures. We contractually require these third parties to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. 

  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. 

  • For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

  • With your consent.

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

  • To enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including this Privacy Policy and HUDDLN’s Terms of Use.

  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of HUDDLN, our customers or others. 

 

Your Choices About Our Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Your Information

 

We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information, third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") on the NAI's website.

 

California residents may have additional personal information rights and choices. Please see the section titled Information for California Residents for more information.

Accessing and Correcting Your Personal Information

 

You can review and change your personal information by logging into the App and visiting your account profile page.

 

You may also send us an email at contact@huddln.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. In certain circumstances, we cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We are legally obligated to verify your identity when you submit a request. We may request additional information from you to verify your identity. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

 

If you delete your User Contributions from the App, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other App users. Proper access and use of information provided on the App, including User Contributions, is governed by our Terms of Use.

Information for California Residents

 

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “CCPA”) provides you with additional rights regarding our use of your personal information. 

 

Your rights as a California Resident:

  • The right to request a disclosure of our business’ data collection practices in connection to you. Including your personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, its use, and whether we disclosed or sold that information to third parties.

  • The right to request a disclosure of what type of personal information was disclosed or sold to third parties and the categories of third parties to whom such information was disclosed or sold.

  • The right to request a copy of your personal information we collected during the 12 months before your request. This type of request can only be made twice in a 12-month period and will require the requesting party to provide information to verify their identity. We will respond within 45 days of receiving any valid personal information request.

  • The right to have that information deleted (with exceptions relating to complying with legal requirements placed upon us).

  • The right to request that your personal information not be sold to third parties.

  • The right to not be discriminated against due to exercising these rights.

 

Data Security

 

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls provided to us by our third-party service providers (Google Firebase/Google Cloud/Getstream). Any payment transactions will be encrypted using Google Firebase Privacy and Security measures which are ISO and SOC compliant security measures. Only user generated content and usernames will be published to Getstream and thus they are responsible for the security of that information on their servers. Our App only stores your first and last name, phone number, and public wallet IDs. Private keys are stored locally on user devices.

 

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the App like message boards. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the App.

 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile platforms is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through our App. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures we provide.

Children Under the Age of 13

 

The App is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at contact@huddln.com.  

 

California residents under 16 years of age may have additional rights regarding the collection and sale of their personal information. Please see the section titled Information for California Residents for more information

 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

 

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' personal information, we will post a revised Privacy Policy on this page with a notice that the Privacy Policy has been updated and notify you by sending an in-App notification or push notification to your account after we make such a change.

 

This Privacy Policy was last revised on the date shown at the top of this page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date email address for you and for periodically visiting this Privacy Policy to check for any changes.

 

Under the CCPA, if there are any material changes to our data collection procedures and processes, we are required to make a change to this Privacy Policy that reflects that change.
